WOW!! Thanks a bunch!
I'll be making some posts in the future about my project this is for, which is a MIDI Note trigger pedal. I'll use it to trigger samples based on my laptop via MIDI.
Thanks!!
But one follow up question to that solution. Will it actually work in the scenario I am employing. Meaning that I will have a +5V adapter and use a 9V battery through a 7805 power regulator. Meaning is it safe to put the 5V current from the adapter through the 7805 power regulator...
I am developing a circuit and want to do something that I think is relatively simple. I am very much a novice at designing my own circuits. I have taken pieces from other circuits and adapted them to my own use. On my current project, I want to have an automatic power supply switch.

midi trigger
OK, I did a bit more research on the internet. I think I am going to go with a PIC Basic program for the 16F628 to control the operation and MIDI Data that is sent.
For the display, I came across a chip to use, which is the MAX7219 tp contorl the 3 digit LED Display.
I have...
midi to trigger
A while back, using some schematics and info I found on the net, I was able to make me a MIDI controlled switch. When it received a certain midi signal it activated a relay to close a connection on a 1/4" input, thus controlling a remote pedal for my guitar.
Now, I have...
solar battary charge rate
I am trying to figure out how to do something similar to this, so any help or directions you can point me in would be very helpful.
Here is what I am doing:
I have some shelves that have 1 or 2 white LED's in them that are currently powered from a single 9v battery...
