I have a solid, mesh-like structure that I wanted to plot the surface current on.
However even though the model and HFSS mesh look correct, you can see the surface current plot has a strange gap between the spokes and the centre ring, and the current is discontinuous between them.
What do you...

That really helped me understand what sheets do, thanks.
I think the main problem is that I'm importing a solidworks model which should be coming through as a solid, but the way it's been constructed makes HFSS import it as a sheet, and since it has more than one face, HFSS keeps...
This seems to simply produce a sheet from the selected face, not a solid (unless I'm doing something wrong?), and the issue I'm having is that I can't plot the current in a sheet, so unfortunately this doesn't really help.
I've found this old document **broken link removed** which says that the...
I have a model which consists of various "Solids" and "Sheets".
I know how to plot the surface/volume current for the solids, however whenever I try to plot the same for my sheets, HFSS returns the error:
Plot 'Mag_Jvol1' becomes invalid due to no available solution,
Even though the simulation...
In HFSS, I'm trying to create a simple cylindrical parallel plate capacitor, but I'm having issues assigning wave ports.
I'm using a driven terminal solution type in HFSS V17.1
I've created a dielectric of quartz as a cylinder with radius 25mm, depth 20mm.
I've created two sheets, each with...
