Could you please tell me where I need to change the port amplitude and phase?
I have tried a lot but didnot come across anything as such. I am attaching a few screenshots.
Hello,
Is is possible to make a phased array system in ADS(i.e. I can phase it to get beam steering)?
If so how can I control the amplitude and phase of the current I am supplying in the feed lines?
Thanks
Hello,
Just was curious to know that λ/2 spacing should be pitch of the array or the kerf of the element spacing??
We know that:
pitch(centre to centre spacing)= 2*a(half of the width of each element) + kerf(edge to edge spacing)
If the spacing is less than λ/2 then there is increase of...
Re: distorted radiation pattern for antenna array in ADS
"Doesn't reduced compression take more memory"
I dont think so. may be the higher I go the more complicated its for the system to provide the performance. As if I set the solver compression level to normal the system always gives me this...
Re: distorted radiation pattern for antenna array in ADS
How critical is the effect of the solver compression level in the antenna simulations which I am performing?
Hi,
I am using ADS 2016 and to reduce the time taken for each simulation I have reduced the Mesh Density (cell/wavelength) to 5 and the solver compression level to "Reduced". Do these changes anyhow distort the radiation pattern I get as an outcome of my experiment?
I can observe from the...
What should I change in the settings? I am trying to design a linear array as of now and the S parameters show broken lines and no particular frequency of resonance.
I have eight antenna elements in my X axis and have eight antenna ports to be connected to each of them for this scenario I need...
Any idea in why I am receiving these Warnings? and how to remove them?
An array simulation in momentum is taking almost 5 hours for me.. I was wondering if the time can be reduced by increasing the mesh size? Is it possible to control mesh size in ADS 2016?

I realise that a reflector adds on to the gain achieved by the antenna but when I tried out the same in ADS it is decreasing the radiation efficiency by some margin!
Is it a theoretical aspect that reflectors generally decrease radiation efficiency or is there any problem in my concept of...
Suppose I want to design a reflector at the back of my antenna design so that the amount of back radiation is cancelled. In ADS how do I simulate it? using a cover plane in the substrate menu or do I have to draw a metal plate and mark it as strip plane in the substrate tab of ADS Layout?
any idea on the rate of error when I am using Momentum solver instead of EMPro or HFSS 3D Solver for antenna design? Will I see drastic changes in result when I use a 3D solver?
