TV RF tuner
Does anyone has an example of how to interface to TV RF tuner? any companies that make those TV RF tuner unit? I saw some PCI TV card that use those TV RF tuner, and wondering how do one control them
Any suggestions where to look up those informations?
Duh - I did look at this chip yesterday at ST web page, but they were showing a
BGA version. BGA just turn me off for our applications.
But now that I re-look at the data-sheet, it could be a low cost
project.

low pin count arm9
I'm looking for a low cost ARM9 - with low pins count - under 200 pins, not BGA,
don't need any fancy stuff like A/D, I2C, keyboard interface, onboard flash or memory.
must have Ethernet w/Mac, high speed (70 to 200Mhz), woudl be nice to have USB
Any recomendation - or...
There are a few companies out there that assemble a Sirf star-3 chipset and RF into a module,
and all you need to do is interface that to your cpu serial port,
and hook the antenna to the otherside. instant gps
I think Sirf even sell something like that
Where can I get a dimension drawing of a PC AT CPU card with PCI bus?
Is there a standard how far the PCI bus from the AT bus?
Any relate AT CPU card drawing would be appreciated.
ethenet microchip
If you just want to connect to ethernet easily without writing tons of code to support TCP/UDP protocol stack - take a look at LANTRONIX XPORT.
All you need is serial interface port without the transceiver and interface
to that unit. The Lantronix comes with an RJ-48 and a...
Cheap way to make pcb drilling machine
I think slashdot.org did an article on pcb drilling machine a while back
go to www.slashdot.org and do a search on pcb cnc or some such
O*cad outline
Big question to all the Orcad gurus out there
I have a board outline all setup, but when I export to gerber and preview
it - the board outline only seems to export to drill drawing. How do I make it so the board outline can be on every layer?
How do you folks handle IC with over couple hundred pins with Orcad Capture? do you split the IC into multiple section and called UxA, UxB? but how would you combine all of them into a single package for PCB layout? is there a command to tell Orcad layout that U1A, U1B is the same chip but...
uh - dont they have something similar already?
At my previous job - each room has a motion/heat sensor - the moment someone walk in - it turns on the light. I predict the same can be done for opening the window - just change the switch from switching on the light to switch on the window openner.
