Can any one explain me how height of substrate influences the bandwidth of a patch antenna. Normally with the increase in height of substrate, bandwidth increases. How does this occur??

Thick patch
Can anyone tell me how conductor thickness affect the charcterstics of antennai.e resonant freq, surface current, radiation pattern. Normally we use patches of thickness 0.002mm, but what happent if the thickness is increased to 1mm. Is the behaviour governed by any equations???
Cross polarisation doubt
hii everyone.....I have seen in a few IEEE papers of graphs showing the level of cross polarisation. But i dont understand it is which parameter vs which parameter .One of it for sure is the angle and what about the other???is it power or gain.....when i see in IE3d...

Using IE3d, in pattern view, im able to obtain graphs between gain and cross polarisation(Etheta Ephi). Can anyone tell me how to obtain graph between power and cross polarisation/ linear polarisation(Etheta, Ephi).....

Im trying to simulate an antenna with a inveted U patch and W shape gnd plane...i have drawn the design in ie3d....and simulated it...but im getting a change in the resonant frequency....the author has got it at 2ghz but i have got it at 2.3Ghz...can any one please help me out...
