Re: The best distribution
I used Centrino 1.4 Note PC as windows XP Pro and Redhat Core 1.0 using
Micorsoft Virtual PC. Performance of Linux is better than of windows I think.
Cache memory is more important thing that you consider. Centrino has 1 MB L2 Cache. I recommend you can use Centrino...
Yes, you'd rather change version, but latest version also some bugs...
design-vision and psyn-gui cannot start gui directly as typing command line...
then gui is crashed..
%design-vision -no_gui
design-vision>start gui
And I have a question...
I installed linux version CoCentric Studio 2003.12.
OS is advanced server 2.1.
But I can't code creation because tool reports undefinded symbol list during simulation.
What is problem ?
I agree to deepspawn's thout.
But I think it is difficult thing that use make a kernel and compile any sources..
I use redhat advanced server 2.1.
I think it is very wonderful, synopsys support officially AS 2.1 and I use follows:
ALDEC Riviera
Cadence LDV 5.0/FE
Novas DEBUSSY
Synopsys ...
I use Altera devices for it's tool (MAX+PLUS 2) convenience for beginner.
For senior engineer, it needs better simulation and synthesis tools, it is a diadvantage.
