hi pragash,
thanks for the response , i am looking for a conical horn type antenna, for which the parameters i have is the thickness, top and bottom diameter, height of the cone, operating frequency. hence with these parameters is there any equation .
Is there any mathematical equation relating conical horn height, thickness of the cone, top and bottom radius of the cone with the frequency, if so could anyone suggest me where can i get it.
I have chosen my application for which i am going to design an antenna, but i need some guidelines so that which type of antenna i should go on with to meet my application and how to start it with?
Also i would be very much helpful if anybody attach a paper or a link that could help me to move...
Re: how to know polarisation of antenna in hfss?
from plotting rEtheta and rEPhi how can we know whether the type of polarisation is circular or linear?
how to know polarisation of antenna in hfss?
On designing an antenna in hFss how could one come to know its type of polarization?
is there any plot which that could help to conclude its type of polarisation ?
i know there is option of exporting our design in hfss to .dxf, but my design comprises of conical horn like structure so how to convert this to 2D structure of .dxf,?
I have designed an antenna using hfss software for fabrication when i consulted a concern they insist me to provide gerber file for them to fabricate, could anyone know how can we convert hfss file to gerber file? is there any free software available for doing so?

i have attached an image file of my antenna design i've designed it using HFSS. its a hybrid structure of a slot coupled circular patch antenna with a surface mounted conical horn designed for 31GHz frequency with gain 12 db.A
microstrip circular patch is printed on a...
I've designed an antenna for operating frequency 31 GHz but i'm unable to get gain on this operating frequency its coming in negative value, instead i'm getting high gain at 28 GHz.
someone please give me a solution to achieve gain desired operating frequency what should i alter for achieving...
my operating frequency of designed antenna is 31GHz, could some say how to plot radiation pattern for it and how should it be,what can i infer from the plot.
i have designed an antenna and viewed its gain plot by using HFSS software but i'm getting high gain not at desired operating frequency, i think this is because of impedance mismatch problem, could someone please help me regarding this of getting high gain at desired operating frequency...
thanks for the reply, i've got the gain plot.
could you suggest me any technique for improving my gain, which will effect on gain parameter either the selection of substrate material which we use or the dimension of our antenna or the type of antenna??
