usually GPS devices can output ASCII messages which contains informations that you can use.
the output messages is in NMEA format. NMEA data

i will connect the pic (rs232 TX) to the 555 circuit to transmit the data
in the receiver circuit .......i will connect the outpout pin from the IR receiver to the (RS232 RX ) will this work ? ....... i mean the byte i send in the transmitter will...

is it possible that i connect an infrared led to rs232 transmitter pin on a pic and receive the signal with infrared receiver in another pic in the rs232 receiver pin

thanks too much for your help ,but i donnot wanna use the irda protocol , i will make a simple one ......i just need the led that transmit and that is receiving ...
i will implement any simple protocol between them

i want to connect two mirocontrollers together using infrared ,one circuit will be in a rotating cylinder by a way that it will be always in the same direction of the axis of transmission ,the other circuit will be fixed and connected to the pc with serial port
can u suggest an infrared...

does the LCDs based on st7066u driver is working the same way like the Hitachi HD44780 based .

the idea behind matrix keyboard with pic ........is scanning
for your matrix for example u have 3 columns and 3 rows
u will need 6 pins from the pic 3 inputs to read which putton is clicked
3 output to make the loop of the scanning

will it is suppose that .net framwork exists for other operating systems just like the java virtual machine ,but microsoft never do that as far as i know because if people can program by .net in other operating systems why they will use windows
,if microsoft made that it could be like...

i never heared that there is a method to do such thing and i donnot think there is.
.net framework is the main part of the distribution of any .net application
like java u cannot run a java application without installing java virtual machine
and also .net cannot run any windows versions...

there are pci cards that provide u with usb interface
also there is usb to rs232 converters but i think pci cards are better solutions
