Yes, The error can be large if the current is high upto 2A. This will have an error of ~1V due to shunt resistor. There's also a current sense amp not shown here. If the ground reference is moved to V-, current sense voltage will be negative, and I only have a single positive supply.
The V+/V-...
Hi
I need to measure DC voltage 0-30V on a microcontroller and display the same. Since we need to measure a large voltage I made a differential amplifier to measure input voltage and added a NFET switched voltage divider at input to measure higher voltages. the switch will be off at lower...
Hi Audioguru,
Thanks for the pointer. I found the power supply design thread that explains all the questions.
I haven't decided on which microcontroller to use. But to get a decent resolution of voltage/current setting I will need a 12bit DAC atleast which has a 7mv resolution for 30V.
Hi All,
I recently purchased a Regulated power supply kit from (https://www.banggood.com/0-30V-2mA-3A-Adjustable-DC-Regulated-Power-Supply-DIY-Kit-p-958308.html).
The schematic of the design is also provided.
My goal is to control the setting of output voltage and current limit with a...
Shouldn't the diode be connected the other way round? The voltage on the FB pin needs to be pulled down if the current exceeds the set value.

Ignore the last post.. Wasn't thinking right.
For the LM358 Supply, I plan to use a simple LM317 regulator at 32V. I hope 2V should be enough headroom. I understand the the buffers can be avoided since the differential amplifier input pulls relatively low current. Can you elaborate the doubling of the positive voltage range for the shunt...
Thanks for the reply.
So I continued the design and came up with the schematic attached. I need to have a small power supply with 2-30V, 0-2A. The required voltage and current limit will be set by a microcontroller through Vset and Iset pins. It is understood that in a case of overcurrent limit...
The output load is nil, I have not connected anything other than a multimeter. It's not a question of output going below 0.6V. The output is stuck at ~0.6V irrespective of the input voltage difference. It only works when i tie the non inverting end of the differential input to ground. I see the...
Hi All,
I'm trying to measure the current in a LM2576 power supply. I'm using a 1ohm current sense resistor on the output of the regulator. Using an LM358 opamp as differential amplifier, I see the output voltage is stuck at 0.6V when the differential amp resistors are 10K (instead of 18k in...
Micron follows a strange way marking their parts. Go to the FBGA part decoder on Micron website and enter the marking on the chip. The Decoder tool on Micron website will show the Part number.

Regards,
I don't think anyone would want to lint netlist files. Linting is only done to catch syntax errors or undesirable code structures or any special cases that one may want to avoid. Since the netlist contains only the primitives/cell instances, linting it wouldn't serve any real purpose.
Regards,
Hi i've decided start learning ARM7 microcontrollers
planning to buy this board
https://www.olimex.com/dev/sam7-ex256.html
is it worth it?? Are there any other good arm7 boards (ATMEL or phillips LPC)
how to simulate picoblaze
I have done all the assembly programming and program vhdl file generation using PBlaze ide, but when i invoke modelsim from xilinx 8.1ise the modelsim fails to oad the project for simulation with the following errors

Hi
Im planning to design an SPDIF receiver for implementation on Spartan 3 FPGA , But im not sure how to go about the design,Does any one have ideas ?
Thank u
