Hi
The term gaussian is related to the probability distribution of noise voltage level that it's described by a gaussian curve.
This kind of noise is generated by thermal effect in resistor, attenuation and other passive devices.
If you connect a scope to the output of any circuit you will...
Hi
you can design a circuit with two MAAM12021 ic preamplifier by Macom.
This is an eccellent high gain low noise amplifier and it just needs some external bypass capacity to work, you can ask to Macom for free samples.

Hi
You can find Bessel and others kind of response on
"Microwave, filters, impedance matching, network and coupled structure"
by Matthaei, Young, Jones.
Mc Grave Hill
On this book you can find also other books referencies about signal filtering.

Re: questions about antenna
HI
backward radiation and forward radiation are related to main antenna lobe, forward radiation is the region were directivity (or gain) has its max value;
"backfire","endfire" and "broadside" are also related to the maximal value of directivity; in particular...
Re: Broadband antennas
Another situation you need a broadband antenna is in commercial FM broadcasting.
Here in Italy trasmitting frequencies are assigned by government and rules are different between two different city, so you need to buy a TX and antenna for covering all FM radio band (88-108...
Hi
Another good book on coupled lines is :
RF and Microwave coupled-line circuits by R. Mongia, I. Bahl, P. Bhartia

eznec antenna
Hi
EZNEC is a commercial sw.
You can download a demo at **broken link removed** it' s a HAM program so I think it's not so expensive.

Hi
what kind of antenna is fix antennas ?
I'm using WinNEC for my work and I think it can simulates every antenna you can build with lines; of course if the antenna is particular or more complex you need a lot of time for making it, but you can find on internet some utilities which help you in...
Hi, you can find an equivalent generator model for ESD on ETSI rules (CE mark).
You can try to found ETSI EN 61000-4-5 (or EN 1000-4-5 that's older, but is alreday the same paper) on ESD protection or ETSI EN 300-386 to view all normatives on CE marking.
I hope it will help you.
Angelo.
