You may well be right and it certainly would be cheaper.
It think it would depend on how sensitive the required performance criteria are to bias drift.
In my instance I am concerned at mantaining linearity over operating temperature and product life.
I think the Maxim part is a good choice for a currently available part.
I am designing it into a 400MHz PA for which the device will control the bias of the driver & final LDMOS devices. For this part you have to provide a separate current sense amplifier and voltage reference. I would have...

Hi again
I know for sure CML are working on an IC.
They just have not announced it yet.
You need to contact them if you want more info on the device and their plans for release on the market.

Assuming that a full two port calibration was done you should be able to save the data file in Touchstone format (ie. file name ends with .s1 or .s2) which should account for any port extension or delay corrections made after calibration.
To get Touchstone format you need go to the define disk...
Re: PIFA antenna
You can find some discussion of PIFA antennae (no design equations though) in chapter 3 of the ebook;

Re: antenna design software
The free 4nec2 software available at the following site might be what you are looking for;
I believe it can also do the antennae types in which you are interested (look at the included examples in "patches" & "wlan" directories after install it)...
