    Laser Engraver using CD/DVD writer ?

    That is true.. Laser might not be powerful enough to cut the white paper... However it might be possible to engrave (not cut) by prolonged exposure of laser. Black copy paper has been shown to work.. kindly check the link below... he has listed the materials that can be cut by DVD laser...
