Complex continous time signals

functions as a basis for periodic signals as well as being able to characterize linear, time-invariant signals.
Importance:-We can express many other signals in terms of these signals,So we can break complex signal into simpler ones.

Continuous-time complex exponential and sinusoidal signals:
x(t) =C\[{e }^{ at}\] where C and a are in general complex numbers.
