Hello,
I am using ZXCT1009 to monitor current flow from a 3V battery.
What is the maximum voltage that Vout of zxct1009 can be?
(i.e. the voltage at the "iout" pin.)

I.e supposing current from the "iout" pin is 1mA...then how big can i make the output resistor?.....would 1K8 be ok? Whats the highest resistance it could be?

Hello treez

The allowable maximum voltage at Vout is Vin-Vdp
Vin is input voltage and
Vdp is dropout voltage (minimum voltage between Vin and Vout for the internal circuit of zxct1009 to work properly)
From Transfer Characteristic curves (page 3) dropout voltage can be found. For example if Vsense=0.2V then Vdp is almost 1.7V. Again if Vsense=1V then Vdp is almost 2.5V.

Assuming your maximum Vsense is 0.2V and Vin is 3V then maximum Vout = 3V-1.7V = 1.3V
