hi, i'am having a problem with this tv. the picture comes on with 6 vert lines across the screen. these vert lines are filled with white dots that vary in number. have good color, no other problems with video. sound gets static as number of dots vary, can anyone help. thanks.

Sounds like PSU noise getting into the signal paths. Can you post a photo of the screen?

hi, the dots that are present are not noise, but rather perfectly round white dots, that vary in number.

the dots are visable at the top of picture.

They remind me of white bars that could sometimes be seem across the top of tv screens (old-fashioned crt). Their pattern changed every other second, as though transmitting captions in code during the dark area between tv frames.

* Do your white dots change their pattern?

* What appears when you press the usual button which displays information at the top such as channel number and name, program title and description, signal strength?
