Why should ZCD reset the processor?
On page 350 you have a picture of ZDC and from it it is perhaps clear what it does.
If you don't use the ZCD, it turns it off, but why do you apply AC voltage to it if you don't want to use it?
Maybe it would be best to write about what you are trying to do, how you are involved and what it does to you?

Refer to the old thread I posted in the first post for info.
It does not reset the processor, it creates a short circuit so power goes off and back on hence causing MCU to reset. this happens due to the feedback loop on IC6 which has -ve voltage.
does this make sense to you?
Edit:
when we disconnected the analog pin of MCU everything runs smoothly, the IC6 output as as expected (+ve). When connected, the reading of IC6 gets stuck to 5v and would reset sometimes.
