Hi all,
I'm currently work on an oscillator using XO.
I want to characterize the phase noise and I've some strange behavior.
I've set the simulator by following the link below.
https://community.cadence.com/caden...alance-features-auto-tstab-and-auto-harmonics

Using HB and HB noise, for the same schematic and same conditions sometime the simulator converge and sometime no. For example, once where the simulator converge if I run a simulation just after the end of the simulation, the simulator doesn't converge  "Inner newton convergence failed" and sometime not !
The simulation isn't confident.

I'm trying to play with the tstab but still the same behavior. Following the Spectre RF user guide, the tstab has to be around 20 periods. I've also tried the Probe-Based Method. without success.

Note that my transient simulation is OK. XO start in every corner.

If someone has an idea, thanks in advance,

Regards,
