XILINX ISE webpack with Windows 7

I have a HP-G62 laptop with Windows 7 in it. I was trying to install Xlinx ISE webpack 12.3 but looks like the installation is not starting.

is windows 7 not compatble with xilinx webpack ????

And , once i powered up the new spartan-3E board, the LED beside the power supply is RED and another LED (printed 'DONE' beside) is YELLOW. the LCD is showing all solid black rectangles in first row.

please advise.

According to the Xilinx installation manual:

"Note: Limited Support for Windows 7 Professional 32- and 64-bit operating systems are included in ISE Design
Suite 12. Official Windows 7 support is planned for ISE Design Suite 13."

You might try installing it in 'XP mode' (== virtual machine running XP under Windows 7)
