Can someone kindly help me to find the alternative to Xilinx device XC95144-10PQ100C that use on an old board? I believe that this device is obsolete over couple of years now. Replacement device offered by Xilinx but operates on 3.6 V instead of 5 volt but I am not sure other electrical parameters may be different as well. According to the data sheet, new replacement may work even at 5 volts supply. New device I am considering is XC95144XL-10TQ100C to try.

Please advise me with your experience and possibly easy solution to find new alternative device. I appreciate your help.

The XC95---XL series will have 5V tolerant I/O, but the core supply (Vccint) must still be 3.3. Your only option is to find old stock somewhere. I'd start with where you got the original parts, then try parts brokers who specialize in obsolete parts. I'm guessing you are just looking for a few? If not, you will have to redesign the card to use the newer chip. The one you selected ('XL) is a current CPLD family of parts.
