hi

i just want to know is it possible to use one pair 434Mhz rf module with atmega16 ? Basically i want to make a system which has three parts

1. Manager ( Atmega8 + Transmitter + Receiver)
2. Remote (Atmega8 + Tansmitter)
3. Receiver ( atmega8 + Receiver)

remote send data to manager to activate it functions . Means Manager get activated when it receive signal from Remote. Now further communication will be happen between manager and receiver. when manager detect something it send the signal to receiver side.

but i getting confused in Manager part where transmitter and receiver both attached with Tx and RX pins respectively with atmega8. So anybody tell me is this concept is rightt. ???

plz reply

Hi! don't get confuse, if you can share your circuits fine. However, the controller communicate with the module via tx and rx. That is the manager receive message through the module rx and transmit message via tx port of the rf module.

your main problem is that you have multiple transmitters & multile receivers all working of the exact same frequency.

So the main thing is to somehow ensure - by designing an appropriate protocol - that the 2 x 2 Tx-rx pair does not get overlapped or confused.
How you do this depends on why you have chosen tHIS particular architecture, and what you are planning to do with this system.

Other than that, shouldn't be any trouble working it with an atmega8

it look like you are trying to design a rf module extender or a repeater. if I would get it clear the system work in one way, remote -> manager -> receiver.

ahmed-agt
I have purchased these to try. They work well. I haven't used them in a project yet - just got them to play with.
They may be what you are looking for.
