please,i need any help i can get.. how can i retrieve a data from the serial port?? i am planning to receive a data from a wireless communication and interface the data using visual basic or java..

how can i retrieve the data from the serial port??

please help me, i only need the basics needed so that i could understand the process..even diagram or any schematic is of great help to me..thanks...

mscomm port open for wirless

In Visual Basic 6 add MSComm Control to enable PC serial port. Write your routine in MSComm ComEvents. When there's byte received ComEvents will notify your program.
