Hi Sir/Madam,

I am using winsock at my PC to talk to the Altera DE2 board through ethernet.

I manage to sniff the UDP packet from my board using wireshack.

But it doesnt work with winsock.

From wireshack, it reported the FCS of my UDP packet is incorrect.

Do you think this is the rootcause that it didnt work with my winsock.

I try to communicate between 2 PC using the same winsock and it is working.

Thanks.

It's definitely a possibility.

Are you using a crossover cable to connect your PC to your DE2? Or are you using a switch or hub?

If you are using a switch, take it out of the equation, try passing packets directly with a crossover cable. Hubs are not too particular, however switches can really cause problems with malformed packets.
