Hi,

Is the fundamental hardware
for Zigbee and WiFi is the same.?
Is it possible to use the same hardware for both
Zigbee and WiFi?
Is the physical layer the same?

I am guessing that zigbee, bluetooth,
WiFi is using the same physical layer circuit,
but I do not have any findings to back it up.
The protocol is different but the circuit is the same.
Is this so?

Thank you for your guidance.

I can't offer a complete answer but sometimes the function of WiFi and Bluetooth are packaged together. The two operate in the same frequency range and can share antennas (at least in some cases). I'm not sure they can be used simultaneously if sharing antennas.

I'm less familiar with Zigbee but believe this also uses the same frequency spectrum.

Hi ngmedaboard,

Thank you for your sharing.
When you say "packaged together",
do you mean package into an IC chip?

I am wondering if there is an IC chip that
can operate WiFi, Bluetooth or even Zigbee?
They don't have to work simultaneously.
I wonder if there is?

Thanks for your feedback.
At least now, I guess it is indeed likely that they are similar so how.
You are saying that they are in the same frequency spectrum,
so antenna can be shared.
How about the physical layer a step higher than the antenna, I wonder?

Thank you.

communication band is same but not the physical layer.
