Hello,

Im interested in design of wideband, 2300 - 4300 Mhz low nosie VCO. YIG is excluded from cost reasons. Please point me to appropiate resources.

Thanks, Dan

Continous tuning required. No range switch.

Take care that in the circuit suggested by Sintis the phase noise is about 20 dB worst than the YIG.
I have built some on various bands and are all working.

Tuning voltage is not linear, but no troubles to make it work.
Fair output power and quite constant with frequency.

try some balanced VCO design with two transistors and you can get an octave VCO,so meet your needs.
