why you want to separate the analog and digital ground with one point connection. Is this still one ground?
 

the digital ground is generally subjected to high frequency noise due to switching... since the ground of both the parts must be at same potential they need to be connected...

so keep the high frequency noise from the analog side they are generally connected using inductive beads...
suppose we go for more connections the impedance between the two paths decreases leading to more cooupling of the higher frequency noise...
