hi everyone ,i don't understand physically why the imopulse response of analog components like capaciter is not FIR .
Mathematically it is proved by laplace transform but physically there is no explanation known to me.
Any response would be helpful.
it could be some thing like Inertia of the real things in the real world
i.e. it doesn't response fastly , doesn't track the affecting event ....
that 's my thought ... :?:
An imprtant feature of the FIR is that if the input goes to zero, the output will become zero immediatly. The capacitor doesn't acheive that. when the input is zero, the output will still exist(discharge response).this is IIR
