IO Buffering?

Salam,

- Why do i need to place a IBUF (Input Buffer) and OBUF (Output Buffer) for each IO pin (respect to its type) of the fpga ?

- Should i place these buffers in my HDL code or in the schematic level only ?

Thanks

Re: IO Buffering?

The buffers are resposible for setting I/O levels, speed and current drive. You can change your options to have them place automatically.
