Hi

Why AtomicOp is needed in any system? What is its use?

As far as I know there are three type of AtomicOp.
1.) Fetch and Add
2.) Compare and Swap
3.) Unconditional Swap

If possible give me some example where exactly these three types are used?

Thanks in advance
