smartspice forum

we usually use synopsys hspice ..but hspice is expensive and very slow
not convergence

as I know other spice maybe better like ELDO smartspice tspice
which one have windows+ linux versin ?
which one have 64 bit version

and which one is fast & accuracy and result is close hspice (Golden tool)
how about smartspice ?? from website silvaco said 64bit is fast than hspice
but my freind only use hspice others use eldo , no one use smartspice

hsim switched-capacitor

Any questions about ELDO simulator are welcome

switched capacitor filter simulation eldo

Andy, could You be more specific, what kind of circuits do You design? It is common practice when for partitular type of circuits a particular simulation program fitts better.

how is Eldo different from Hspice?
which one is good?
wht is switched capacitor analysis?
:?:

what is eldo

does the two tools smartspice and eldo have the same function with hspice, acturally,I also have not heard that tools before, can anyone give some introduction between them.

I can find hspice on WWW
but nevery find smartspice ..even evaulation version
who can tell me where can I get eval 64Bit
I want to try 64 bits spice tool

hspice is very slow ..

HSIM is fast than HSPICE, and you don't need change the netlist .

Can you launch spectre from your synopsys environment?

I ever use hsim/aditspice (nanosim powermill ..)

smartspice is Spice engine tool , hsim maybe run fast , but some analog circuit like PLL or include inductor circuit , hsim have wrong simulation (maybe need tunning setting ..)

smartspice said 64bit is run fast ..

have anyone use smartspice on 4 CPU system ??
simucad AE said smartspice is good tool than hspice , and I only know , I ever sim some circuit by hspice and hspice multi_thread never improve my simulation time .
