Who can tell me the difference between set_scan_methodology -external tristate and -internal tristate ? thanks!

Added after 26 minutes:

sorry , the command should be set_scan_configuration !!!!
 

Are these commands used in design compiler or else in any other tool, please specify,
 

It seems that the command is user-defined one.
