BOM2GERBER Converter

Why? for what purpose?

If we knew more about your needs we may be able to suggest better.

Are you wanting to make Pick & Place machine files from this data?
What will you be doing with the data?

If for instance, your wanting to make a pick & place file, you will need Gerber data of the PCB panel, and then a textual BOM file which can usually be imported into Placement file creation software so that it matches up with the Gerber data.

I.E. Using GC-Place from Graphicode .com (or now GC-Powerplace).

But bear in mind that AFAIK there is no free software to do this.

Roland.

Re: BOM2GERBER Converter

I work in a +/- small smt assembly company .
In most cases we only have the pick and place files for the machines .
When I can use this files and link the components to a library(picture) so it would be possible to make a drawing of the assembly .

X-Y-ROTATION-COMPONENT>>>>LIBRARY>>>>DRAWING
(SMT MAESTRO is a free tool for this but no drawing)

And the second use of this

X-Y-ROTATION-COMPONENT>>>>LIBRARY/FOOTPRINT IPCxxx>>>>GERBER
(with this is it possible to see if a new project/pcb is drawn in a correct way for good assembly)

unisoft is something like that , but not cheap
