Which one is the Best tool for Radar System Simulation / Analysis (RF End)?

1. Agilent ADS/Ptomely

2. Mathworks MatLab/Simulink

3. AWR MWO/Visual System Simulator

Give your experience & may be some examples to demonstrate!

Re: Which one is the Best tool for Radar System Simulation (

Hi ADS_RFMW,

In my experience AWR MWO/VSS is a good solution for Radar systems analysis especially in analysing RF link ...

Since it has all the capabilities Nonlinear/EM Simulators & System simulator...
Also the system tool has RF cascaded budget analysis capability, which will be very much usefull....
I don't have any specific examples....But it is very powerful & easy to use environment...
Also it interfaces to matlab...so you can cosimulate...

Even matlab/Simulink is agood solution but it lacks some RF specific measurements & blocks...
There is a good book on this with worked examples...see below...

I don't know about ADS/ptolemy...

I hope this helps....
