hello

i need a controller to perform following functions

a/d (12bit)
drive a lcd display
low cost

use H8 fro renesesase....

they are no1 in this feild...
easyly availble,low cost,compiler..

TI MSP430 will give you the lowest power solution.

It can go from sleep to full speed in 6uS, that way you can spend most of the time in low power modes.

PIC18Fxxxx (newest), h he he he eh. Good luck for U !

you can also go for the ATMEL processors

yeah...MSP430 is very good..the power consumption is low but u have to build a 3.3v power supply to operate the ic

Use Renesas controller like R8C/11 if u need more pins or else R8C/1A is sufficent for A2D and lcd display.

h8 ?
give me full number

family of 8051 form atmel at atmel.com

pls press "helped me" button

I think nano watt PIC18F Series will rock,
its power consumption is less than MSP430

TI MSP430XX

i think atmel avr is best soulution

there are some new dspic devices with 12 bit adc chanel and the mplab c30 has tl libraries in c code

Go for PIC24 from Microchip....
