scharmh, IAR do provide the compilers around but the problem is the price.... quality has its price... so i recommend using the other compilers because of the price

If you want portable code (Which you will!),

Learn and use Hi tech.

sourceboost c 18f examples

CCS is very good, IAR is best.

picc ccs manchester

i agree with CCS, it's so popular

pic compiller

Hi

CCSC is good and userfriendly. But it has some bugs.

Hi-Tech C is a bit ANSI type. Its always good to go with Hi-Tech C.

But I use CCSC.

mplab compiler protonplus pic12

WIZ-C is the best compiler although it can support library routine

e.g.

like

LCD display

Infrared

etc.

plugin+mikroc+mplab

i use hitech and mikroc, mikroc is a very ggod choice for wide collections of library, and its forum support is very quick

Mikroelektronica gives you a choice of programming languages. BASIC, PASCAL and C. BASIC is the one I use. It has a fresh looking IDE which is simple to use
It is best for beginner as it has a huge and an ever increasing library.

After the recent release, the product has stabilised.

Also important to note is that the development team has fantastic Tutor boards.

Compiler for dsPIC in PASCAL is already out and the one in BASIC is under development.

PRICE is Fantastic.

In short, there is no bottleneck with this company and their products.

Hello bimbla

I think you are right here, after two updates of Mikrobasic or so, it will seriously put other basic compilers on the highway sides :)

Currently, mikroBasic includes the following libraries:

ADC Library
CAN Library
CANSPI Library
Compact Flash Library
EEPROM Library
Ethernet Library
Flash Memory Library
Graphic LCD Library
I²C Library
Keypad Library
LCD Library
LCD8 Library
Manchester Code Library
Multi Media Card Library
OneWire Library
PS/2 Library
PWM Library
RS-485 Library
Secure Digital Library
Software I²C Library
Software SPI Library
Software UART Library
Sound Library
SPI Library
USART Library
USB HID Library
Util Library
Conversions Library
Trigonometry Library
Strings Library

MikroBasic = Crownhill + Melabs
149$ = 265$ + 249$

Have a nice day

Has anyone tried C18 from microchip?

csc
PICC
..etc.

easy pic compiler

HI-TECH PICC if you want portable code, closely to hardware. (High price, interface is not good)
CCS if you want C-compiler at low price but it is look like MACRO programming
CCX or ... if you want the others.
