What is the access time of SDRAM and SDCARD. Which is faster for VGA applications

sdram has a 8-64b bus (in typical applications) and runs at up to 200MHz. Modern DDR3 runs at much faster rates.

sdcards have at best a 4b bus running at 100MHz, though usually 1b @ 20MHz.

so RAM is much faster.

Of course RAM tends to be around 1/10 as dense -- with SD cards in the 64GB range being common.
