Which is better hierarchical or flattened floorplanning?

hi all,

what is the advantage and disadvantage of heirarchical and flattened floorplanning.which is best?

I think heirarchical floorplanning has more advantages, only floorplanning, not placement.

I think the heirarchical floor panning is a good one,

because you can place by block basis. so the related logic

can be put together and get better timing.
