Hi,

Currently, i am designing a high current (around 20A) DC brushed motor (power window) driver using relay.

I wonder using 2 SPDT relay is better or 1 DPDT relay? Or got others better and simple solutions to drive Power Window in bi-direction? I have attached the pictures.

Please help me.

SPDT vs DPDT

What is the specification of the SPDT and DPDT relay which you are using?

As the currents are upto 20A, you should definitely choose a relay which can handle atleast upto 35A.

And I am not sure you can get an SPDT relay for that range. Do you?

So better option is choose a DPDT and parallel the contacts.

Regards,
