can any one suggest me H-bridge circuit for my robot?

i m using Power window motors for wheel... Motor specifications are 12V 2A... I noticed starting current of 25A through DMM. there are several H bridge circuits on internet. I don't know which should be used? any guidance...

I also have purchased IRF540 for N-channe MOSFET and IRF9640 for P- Channel MOSFET...

THANKS

I suggest you to use IR2110 IC to drive your mosfet.....it does not cause heating problem and also you don't have to worry about to increase voltage supply in the gate of the mosfet...for detail check out the datasheet of IR2110

if u have any queries do not hesitate to ask

Please re-check your power window motor specs. it is 12V 7A if it Denso, 12V 8A if it other manufacturer in contineous run mode intitial will be 3 times more. They provide about 9Kg torque

Thankyou

thanks a lot! these all are H-Bridge IC's But if i want to make an H bridge from my own MOSFETS then what circuit should i use?
i found one but its not working...

i have used IRF 540 instead of RFP30N06 and IRF 3940 instead of RFP30P06..

you can use l293d & l298 IC to drive motors. they have built in H-bridge circuit.
i recommend l293d

Hi

Here is a H-Bridge which can take upto 30A.

Thankyou

Tested and perfect working. This is professional motor drive manufacturer schematics.

here is it you can try this one,but in the case of driven a motor the transformer will not be used their.

thanks prmurthy! that is what i was looking for! Though i would cost me more. but will be safe. One Question! how did you know that It can bear up to 30A. is it on data sheet or experimentally observed. any way thanks again

Id = 160A @ 10V. Please refer to datasheet of IRF1405. Actually it can support more than I mentioned as the mosfets are connected in parallel. This can be used for dual channel or single channel. If you use for dual channel the current is limit to 60A and if you use single the current limit is 160A. I have working unit running for 2 DC motors of 24V and 40A each. Perfectly running for last few year with hell a lot of load on the motors. Never blew the mosfets.

Thankyou

Finally! i got the circuit RUNNING :-D My teacher asked me some Question:sad:
and i din't know what to say?:???:

1-Why are MOSFET's Prefered for the Motor Drivers CIrcuit?
2-Which configuration is better? and Why?
a) 4 N-Channel MOSFETs
b) 2 Pair- Combination MOSFETs (2-P and 2-N channel)

Waiting for your fruitful answer!

1) check the Vce (emitter-collector saturation voltage) and compare that to the Rds-on (drain-source resistance when on) of a mosfet, calculate the power loss for the same current

2)Compare the Rds-on of P mosfet with the Rds-on of N mosfet

Have you try this with HIP4081A or? When i was try this circuit without hip4081A, burnt my mosfets. If possible please give to me more information about this schematic

Thank you for your helps
