filter for ecg

hi everyone ,
i am doing a project on ecg .I want to know which filter would be used for this purpose .
any response would be helpful.

Re: filter for ecg

i think you need to design low pass filter to get pulse rate of high sampling frequency ....may be decimation fir filter

Re: filter for ecg

wajahat,
Phase linearity is important, since you want to preserve the waveform. You can accomplish phase linearity with a FIR low pass filter.
.
Another possibility is to use an analog filter, such as a Paynter filter , Bessel filter or equiripple phase filter, which provide approximate phase linearity.

Kral
