Where can I get the ferrite core to wind an RF Chock coil around it?
Can i replace it by anyother in hand materials?

I hope you get what i mean :)
Thanks in advance,

Re: Ferrite core?!?!?!?

Hi,

Yes, you may possibly find an old AM pocket radio receiver in the house you or the neighbours do not need any more. From such radio set you can take out either the AM ferrite road or the 455kHz IF coils and use their ferrite as the core for your RF choke. These cores usually work up to 1-2MHz frequency and will give sufficient choking effect at your RF frequencies.
You may find such AM radio sets at flea-markets too for cheap.

Re: Ferrite core?!?!?!?

Did anyone open a PC power supply before?
I found in it some coils can't I use one of them in RF applications?
they're shielded..

Thanks,
