Hi all friends,

I want to build a programmer for Philips P89C51, But I can't find the programming algorithm in the datasheet of P89C51.

best regards

Hi Ace-X,
Very thank you!

The "Flash Magic" don't support P89C51.

Sad to say but Philips don't reveal Programming Algorithm for neither of their micro, nor even for this ordinary one.
You must be a serious programmer manufacturer to get that (obvious after signing a NDA)

While this holds for the parallel programming (such as in device programmers), Philips produces '51 derivatives which are in-situ programmable via UART (see P89V51RD2 and similar; the LPC9xx family); for programming of these one needs only a serial cable and the FlashMagic software (and the "programming algorithm" is published, so a plain terminal program is enough).

Of course, this is not valid for the plain P89C51.

wek
