IGBT'S are extremely common in power electronics - every car ignition system for instance, gate, collector emitter, from a few 100 volts to kV, and a few 10's of amps to kA.
Almost every motor drive, solar inverter, the list goes on, they are ubiquitous in power electronics ( this forum ).
