hi , as you know there are many buttons on digital multimeter and I have the cheapest one.
I've read some articles and I'm wondering that does this button also shows the frequency?
if yes, why it shows 591 instead of 60?(the circuit was a clock circuit using 555ic)

I've ran the circuit into a simulation application and she shows 42Hz for output

why do I get different numbers with simulation and multimeter?
simulated and tested circuit :

Hi,

Didn't the multimeter come with a user manual?

Klaus

Yes the user manual...
As far as I know, the setting selects a square wave signal generator. Some DT832 vendors claim so.

the u-manual is not accessible, so im askin here.
does sqare wave refers as "digital signal?"?
if my signal is square it means it can measure its frequency?

it is not likely your meter is a function generator
it is likely the setting with the square wave is a frequency meter
everything else is well know as voltage, current, resistance, continuity and hfe is one measure a transistor

@hexreader
good work
i couldn't find the user's manual
sometimes its good to be wrong
