What's the purpose of 0 ohm resister
 

Jumper, fuse, test point, diagnostics, to name only a few.

For High Speed application, Zero Ohm resistor can act as a RF choke.

Its inductance is already considerable.
 

It can be also be used to separate Digital and analog ground..
