if AWGN noise is the only unwanted effect in your system, which method do you use to remove it?

Re: AWGN noise

Hi,
I think u can use spread spectrum techniques wherein, multiplying your signal+Noise with a PN sequence helps in spreading the noise and recovering the signal with a LPF at the receiver.

AWGN noise

Is it common to use spread spectrum techniques for noise mitigation? Is there any other method to discard the noise? a more easier and basic one.

Re: AWGN noise

There are number of technologies. The major classes are to use correlation (these are the spread spectrum technologies) and to average the noise. There are also some very specific noise compensation techniques, but it is well beyond our topic.

AWGN noise

So we can summarize with that the spread spectrum technologies are the mostly used and major techniques for AWGN mitigation.

Re: AWGN noise

If you are talking about telecommunication lines, the answer probably yes. But if we discuss the RF and microwave equipment probably averaging used more often.
