layer stackup

hi,

i am designing a board which is haveing 4 layers
but is not a high speed board
can anyone tell me the layer stackup for this board

layer stackup

Top
Ground
Power
Bottom

Re: layer stackup

i am using 62 mil pcb thickness
and 1 oz copper on each layer
can u tell me what should be the thickness of substrate inbetween the layers.

thanks in advance

layer stackup

If you don't have a impedance criteria, then you don't have to calculate thickness. PCB manufacturer applies standart thicknesses for your PCB.

Re: layer stackup

i have to take care that it has minium impedance
can u tell me the standard stackup

Re: layer stackup

Go to this webside for more info on impedance controlled pcb stacks.
They have an eval download version, I have used it in the passed for my work.
It's pretty accurate.

I would recommend calling the board house that you are planning on using and ask them what they recommend. You can also define your impedance targets on your FAB drawing and let the board house decide what the spacing between layers needs to be.

layer stackup

it depends. generally is
Top
Ground
Power
Bottom

For a .062 board,

.018 core thickness with .0014 copper both sides
.0007 prepeg
.018 core
.0007 prepeg
.018 core thickness with .0014 copper both side
