What's the file extension after doing floor planning

Hai to All,

What will be the output after doing the floorplan, means do it will be netlist?

what is the extension of floorpaln( i mean for hdl we write as. vhd,.v,) like that.

After floorplan you can save the entire design in .def form or you can export only the floorplan details in .fp form.

About Floor Planning

the output format of the floorplan depends on the tool used to do the floorplan , but .def is the design exchange format accepted by all the tools, and using all the tools we can dump out the .def file,
it contations the physical location of the pins, macros which are used in the design

DRC and LVS

its nothing by step step process

for this under what extension r these files stored.

After
STA : you'll generate sdf file
DFT : Netlist and PDEF
PNR : GDSII
DRC : run on gds and creates summary file (DRC.sum)
and LVS : generates report file (lvs.rep)

File extension depends on tools used........
