dear gurus,

Can someone explain to me..whats the definition of throughput?
Tried search on the web but couldnt get really good definition of it.

Anybody has this topic , adaptive modulation in MC-CDMA systems by using Simple BlockWise Loading Algorithm? I need to simulate it using Matlab.Urgent Help!!!

it means THE TIME TAKEN TO CONVEY INFORMATION...

In short,

Throughput is the no. of bits transferred/transmitted per unit time. usually denoted in bits/sec.

This is the measure of a digital communication link capacity.

There is also a concept of goodput which refers to the actual amount of user information that is transmitted. If this is at all related to what your question is I can elaborate a bit. A good resource is Communication Networks:Fundamental Concepts and Key Architectures by Garcia and Widjaja.
