Hi..
I just got one sample of msp430 from ti. I ask for it because i want to study it. I had download IAR MSP430 from ti and start built jtag follow circuit from olimex. but i still confuse with it.. most of evaluation board use 32.768 kHz xtal. and in ti datasheet it say this micro had 125ns instruct cycle time. Can i get that fast with this xtal value or do i need to change it
also if i compare with PIC and AVR which one is faster ?.. Any one test it ? any body have a good place for getting start with msp430??

.. i got sample of MSP430F1222.. thank for your help...

I use 430F149, it can run at 8MHz. You know, 32.768K usally used to Timer and so... You can use internal DCO, it can run about 5MHz.
