Hi
In cmos circuit If we replace nmose with pmos and pmos with nmos then what will happen??

Re: regarding CMOS

it will be acting as a week buffer.
Its characteristics will be linear.

Re: regarding CMOS

Its output swing reduces to |VTP| <=VOUT<= VDD-VTN....

Re: regarding CMOS

If Pmos is connected down and Nmos on top ,
For input logic 0:
Pmos ON and Nmos OFF => output is grounded or logic zero (it will not be zero but Vtp)
For input logic 1:
Pmos OFF and Nmos ON => output is connected to VDD or logic one (it will not be ONE but VDD-Vtp)

Re: regarding CMOS

ramanav i think the drop in case when pmos is off and nmos is on will be Vdd - Vtn...correct me if i am wrong..

Re: regarding CMOS

Yes Badola u r absolutely right that drop shold be Vdd-Vtn only.
